Here's the second part of my Carol Danvers costume chronology. 
Carol's most iconic costume to-date is this black leather one-piece costume. It features a lightning bolt detail that runs from her left shoulder to her right hip. She accessorizes this look with opera-length gloves, thigh-hi boots and a red sash. The mask she wore with this particular costume was fitted to her eyes.
It's worth noting that the history I chronicled in this particular piece is VERY important to her character. People don't realize just how devastatingly tragic her narrative is. Michael's murder, Marcus' rape of her and Rogue's subsequent attack were all horrific occurrences. Rogue's assault in particular was more brutal than people realize. Rogue hunted Carol down and assaulted her. They battled each other across the city and ultimately Rogue attempted to dispose of her. Rogue was a raging psychopath without morals or a conscience. If it weren't for Spider-Woman's interference, Carol would be dead and Rogue would be a murderer. It remains to be seen how Rogue changed so drastically from a sociopath to a remorseful young woman. My theory is that Carol's psyche gave Rogue a conscience and that most of the traits people like about Rogue were in fact a result of Carol's transference onto her mind. If you were to read Rogue's first appearance and her appearances in Dazzler's solo title, you'd be shocked to see just how different a character she seems there. Oh Rogue... such a mess of a character. It's also worth noting that the incident with Marcus would leave Carol with a grudge and hatred towards the Avengers which she would carry with her for a little over a decade. It's understandable of course. The Avengers can save the world from aliens but when it comes to cluing into the fact that their teammate was raped (Marcus admitted to them to using technology to control Carol) they failed miserably as friends and teammates. The only member who seemed genuinely sorry was Scarlet Witch. The men didn't seem to care much (particularly Hawkeye... then again he's fond of taking the rapist's side of things). Lastly, it's also worth noting that Ms. Marvel's "rivalry" with Mystique is ongoing.

First off yep love that iconic costume XD But again the scarf/sash tied aroundher waist I just feel like it could be grabbed and some one could easily pull her back. But I guess the waist sash is an improvement over the scarf. And even though her long hair can be seen as the same way I still like that she grew out her hair.
That thing with Marcus....just....first it irritates me how many women characters I have seen get pregnant and then you never hear of the baby again and I never knew Carol was in the same boat with other characters. I mean if they are going to make a character pregnant can the baby not grow up by the end of the issue? But Carol has such a sad past there and it's great to know some more backstory behind her.
