Commission - The Conspiracy Theory by Femmes-Fatales Commission - The Conspiracy Theory by Femmes-Fatales
This is an ensemble piece collecting commissions for ~ParisNJones

Back in October, I was asked to draw four of his characters from one of his series. Each character was part of a rock group called The Conspiracy Theory. I drew each one and posted them separately. Pictured here (from left to right) are Clark Dancy, Rachel Jeffreys, Nicolette Townsend and Marisa Collins. Of these four, Marisa proved to be the most popular amongst my watchers. The challenge with these characters came in the form of their tattooed forms. Obviously Marisa is sans-tattoos but the other three more than make up for that. I wanted to draw each character faithfully and really wanted to capture their essence as they were described to me. I'd like to think I succeeded in getting their personality across. I also decided to showcase each one displaying their talent in the group -- Clark with his guitar, Rachel with drumsticks, Nicolette with a microphone and Marisa with a bass. I procrastinated in putting this piece together (sorry ~ParisNJones!!!) but I always knew how I wanted it to look. It absolutely had to look like an album cover. The dimensions are square so it works out nicely. Though it may seem lazy to just have the background white and without a band name or album title, I liked the starkness of it. It feels clean and puts these characters at the forefront. I think the blank background really contrasts the colourfulness of these four. In essence, it highlights that THEY are the stars.

I hope you all like the way these four look together! They're very diverse and it's fabulous. Enjoy!

You can find the individual images of these characters below.

I figured you'd get around to the ensemble piece whenever you had the chance. I love how it turned out. It really does look like an album cover. Sometimes, less is more. With the characters being all different skin tones and tatted up, the plain white background works. I like that Marisa's the most popular. I think she's probably the most approachable out of the group. I didn't mention this in the description, but Marisa has tattoos as well. She has angel wings on her back. I just love seeing these four together. They look like a very formidable band.

P.S. Awhile back, I had made a playlist so I'd have an idea what they would sound like. I imagined each character would be capable of singing lead. I figured I'd share it:
1. "California Paradise" by Dakota Fanning - The Runaways soundtrack (for Marisa)
2. "I Love Playin' With Fire" by The Runaways (for Rachel)
3. "I Wanna Be Your Dog" by The Stooges (for Clark)
4. "School Days" by The Runaways (for Nicolette)

Thanks! I'm really relieved that you're pleased with how this turned out. I really did take longer than I should have with putting this together. You really did come up with four very unique characters who look absolutely fascinating together. I wish I'd been able to generate more comments from my watchers for you. Unfortunately, original art just simply doesn't typically do that. However, I can say that I like these characters and I've previously expressed my thoughts on what I think of each. You did a good job creating them. I also think it's cool that you came up with a sound for each. I could pretend like I know what those songs are... but I won't. :P
