Justice League - Green Arrow Redesign by Femmes-Fatales Justice League - Green Arrow Redesign by Femmes-Fatales
Justice League redesigns, part 2 of 12.

In reinventing the Justice League and basing them out of New York City, Oliver Queen fits right in with being placed in a lush flat on the Upper East Side. Queen Industries would be a cutting-edge company that develops numerous technologies and maintains a partnership with Wayne Enterprises and Atlantis Industries. Of course, his constant rival is LexCorp. Oliver's nightly activities see him hopping from rooftop-to-rooftop bringing down the bad guys but he also spends quite a bit of time trying to win the heart of his teammate Black Canary. Oliver's closest allies on the League would be Batman, Green Lantern and Aquaman.

Design-wise I don't think I'm really doing anything new but reworking a lot of the more modern designs Green Arrow has had. I liked taking overall inspiration from the traditional look and then updating it. I wanted the lines on the costume to form points as if to mimic arrowheads and wanted to feature some kind of hood. Naturally, since this is a younger Ollie I had to do away with the lame Robin Hood facial hair and also opted for a more modern mask that features Queen Industries tech that enables him various 'visions' while he's crimefighting.

Enjoy!

I miss his super beard from the justice league tv show :(

Still a great price of artwork though :)

Thanks. Obviously, this is meant to be a younger Oliver so giving him the cheesy middle-aged man facial hair wouldn't exactly gel with someone who would look like he'd just stepped out of GQ or Esquire.

Amazing. The first thing that pops to mind is the more utilitarian look to him compared to many of your other heroes. I'm not one of the ones who believes every character must be dressed like they are doing black ops missions, but it just works on Ollie. It might have something to do with his more down to earth powerset, but it is definitely much better than when he looks like a Robin Hood cosplayer. I also love how you managed to balance all of those greens in his costume without any of them blending or muddling together. Now, on to technicalities. The special 'vision' shades are a nice touch; I like them and I have issues with normal domino masks. All of this said, while I'm going to miss the beard, I definitely get where you're coming from about him only growing it for further Archer = Robin Hood references (like we need more) and it is a nightmare for secret identities.

Again, many thanks for the kind words and taking time to write a comment. I appreciate it. I'm really glad that you like the look I adapted here for Ollie. He's such an interesting character because he represents those two extremes -- the Black Ops guy and the silly Robin Hood cosplayer -- at least as far as his costuming is concerned. I think it serves his character a little better to be more streamlined and to maintain a more serious look. Like Batman and Black Canary, he'd be part of the League's more shadowy division that focuses on stealth so it makes sense to feature him in something like this. I'm glad you like the mask here and happy to see you understand where I'm coming from with the beard. I did consider giving him a more modern beard but the stubble is a little more friendly to who he is and the type of crowd that would find him attractive. After all, his Robin Hood beard wouldn't be netting him any honeys in ANY club. :P
