Justice League - Green Lantern Redesign by Femmes-Fatales Justice League - Green Lantern Redesign by Femmes-Fatales
Justice League redesigns, part 9 of 12.

Having asked you all pick your favourite Justice League members from a selective list, Green Lantern placed fourth overall. Out of 94 votes, he received 7.

Forever marked by the experience of seeing his father die in a test flight gone wrong, Hal Jordan grew up to become a determined and stubborn individual who was dead-set on being just like his father. Though it hurt his mother deeply and threw his family into turmoil, Hal pursued his dream of becoming a pilot and after a brief period of disgrace he was hired by Carol Ferris to be a test pilot for her company Ferris Aircraft. Though they initially kept their relationship strictly professional, Hal and Carol have since started seeing each other. As Green Lantern, Hal is kept busy playing the role of space cop but he makes time to battle evil as a member of the Justice League. He has forged close bonds with teammates Flash and Green Arrow as well as ongoing rivalries with Batman and Aquaman.

I wasn't looking forward to redesigning Green Lantern. Since Hal's pretty much only ever had one look as GL (give or take some variations), it's tough to really see him in anything other than what we're used to seeing. Still, I wanted to try to give it more of a material look and have it be vaguely sci fi-esque in its aesthetic. There's also something very bug-like with the construction of the suit here and I think it works in favour of the overall look. While I wouldn't say I think his design is my favourite in this series, I'd say I did my best on what is a difficult task.
