Marvel Earth-20113 - Iceman Redesign Profile by Femmes-Fatales Marvel Earth-20113 - Iceman Redesign Profile by Femmes-Fatales
Page four of my Marvel Universe head canon encyclopedia. Set on an alternate Earth, the goal of this project is to reimagine and redesign the Marvel Universe according to my own preferences and aesthetics.

For Iceman's design, I kept his overall look in line with the other members of the X-Men I've drawn thus far. His signature colour is white (or a very frosty blue).

Admittedly, elements of his backstory are very similar to Cyclops'.
Their emergence from the trauma of bullying helps contrast their personalities. Bobby ends up being more extroverted, while Scott is an introvert.

As always, I love hearing from you all so please feel free to leave your thoughts and any questions you may have below.

Enjoy! :)

Iceman is probably my favorite out of the bunch. His design stands out more than the others, probably since his is sleeveless and shorts like.

The armbands and boots are especially detailed and cool looking. The way that the shoes's golden lines are over another. It seems like they're strange shoes from another planet. But I can also guess why they look like that is because of them being made out of a material that won't break with his powers. I think the wristbands look nifty and cool, since he really can't wear gloves and it wouldn't make sense of him to do so.

The details of his body such as the muscles. I couldn't really notice them on the other xmen character but with Iceman they're pretty easy to se and to focus on.

The hairstyle is pretty wicked and it fits his character very much.

I can definitely say that the colour scheme is absolutely perfect. Mostly white, but that faint blue still looks really crisp as well. I think my favourite part of his design has got to be his face here. There's something about the way you've drawn it helps to go along with his personality. The backstory has a good blend of old and new ideas, so it's a really solid one overall.

Thanks! I'm glad you like this look for him. Iceman is actually probably my favourite of the original male members of the X-Men due to his more youthful and exuberant nature. That's really what translates with the face.

He's always been in my top five X-men for the longest time, so I've definitely had a soft spot for his character. He's a great contrast among the rest of the original five, and he always had a lot of untapped potential as far as his powers went. Also, his powers themselves are pretty badass. You certainly did a good job capturing that look of youth in his face.

My top five has almost always consisted of X-Women.

I like the idea of Iceman, Northstar, Wolverine, Gambit, and Colossus as characters, but have never found them to be satisfactory in comparison to my own imaginings. I think this has to do with the creators that have worked on them, sluggish movement towards inclusiveness, and the fact that they always seem so bland compared to the women.

Yunno, I'm not convinced that Iceman doesn't quite reach his power potential. We've seen it happen. I think that people stick to that idea with him as a means of making him out to be more important and less flat as a character. If anyone got the short end of the stick, it was Angel. Hell, Jean too. The poor girl can't escape her association with the Phoenix. There's a whole segment of people who insist on calling her boring too. I'm like, "We reading the same comics here? Cause boring is not a word I'd use to describe that short-tempered (but warm-hearted) redhead." It's pretty telling that literally the only person who bothered to check in on Jubilee after Illyana's death was Jean. I'm just saying.
