My DCU - Justice League Unlimited Redesigns

A week ago, I asked you all to select your favourite heroes from the Justice League in order to create an "unlimited" version of the team. The goal was to do something similar to the "unlimited" version of the Teen Titans that I'd done, seen here: fav.me/d9wolrq.

This piece is the result of that poll. I took all of your votes into account and assembled a grand total of 22 characters into one giant-sized version of the Justice League. For the most part, these are the characters you all indicated you wanted most on this team. There are two exceptions - the first being Bumblebee (who can be seen on Wonder Woman's shield) and the other has to do with the Green Lanterns. There were three Lantern bearers that made it into the top based on your votes (Hal, John and Jessica). However, I decided to keep it simple and go with the one Lantern that received the highest score. That Lantern ended up being Mr. Hal Jordan. It was also funny because I was kind of curious to see if you all would vote for characters I haven't redesigned yet, thus giving me an exclusive design or two to post here, but you all selected characters I'd completed. There is a slight exception. You all showed a preference for the Shiera/Shayera version of Hawkgirl over the Kendra one, so I did some creative palette swapping to reflect that.

Without further delay, I present to you your Justice League Unlimited as they exist in my head canon...

BIG BARDA (Barda Free): A powerful warrior woman from the planet Apokalips. Former leader of the Female Furies. Married to Scott Free (Mister Miracle).

ICE (Tora Olafsdotter): A sorceress and princess from a hidden kingdom between Iceland and Norway. Can create and control ice and snow. Best friends with Beatriz da Costa (Fire), dating Guy Gardner (Green Lantern, Designate Gamma).

FIRE (Beatriz da Costa): An actress turned spy. Can create and control mystical green flames. Best friends with Tora Olafsdotter (Ice).

BOOSTER GOLD (Michael Carter): A washed-up former football football player, now a semi-professional conman. Possesses a power suit that grants him flight, super strength, and shielding. Dating Ted Kord (Blue Beetle).

BLUE BEETLE (Ted Kord): An inventor at Starrware Enterprises. Possesses a Thanagarian Scarab that grant him superhuman strength and durability, as well as limited shapeshifting. Dating Michael Carter (Blue Beetle) and mentor to Jaime Reyes (another Blue Beetle).

VIXEN (Mari McCabe): A supermodel turned fashion mogul. Possesses the Tantu Totem, which enables her to channel the abilities of any animal on Earth. Has a thing for J'onn J'onzz (Martian Manhunter).

ZATANNA (Zatanna Zatara): A stage magician and sorceress. Casts spells using backwards magic. Is also Half-Homo Magi. Used to date John Constantine and has a thing for J'onn J'onnz (Martian Manhunter). Best friends with Dinah Lance (Black Canary)

HAWKWOMAN (Shayera Hol): A general within the Thanagarian military. Has wings that enable her to fly and she possesses an arsenal of weaponry made from the powerful Nth metal. Has a thing for Victor Stone (Cyborg).

CYBORG (Victor Stone): A former member of the Teen Titans. Cybernetic suit grants him limited shapeshifting, can manipulate white noise and can teleport. Has super strength and shielding. Used to date Koriand'r (Starfire), but now may start something with Shayera Hol (Hawkwoman). Best friends with Karen Beecher (Bumblebee).

PLASTIC MAN (Patrick O'Brien): A former crook and member of Freedom Force. Can shapeshift his body into anything imaginable.

SHAZAM (Billy Batson): A child actor who transforms into the champion of Shazam. In this form, possesses super strength and speed, enhanced wisdom, flight and the ability to control and create thunder and lightning. Has a major crush on Diana Prince (Wonder Woman).

THE FLASH (Barry Allen): A crime scene investigator. Can tap into the speed force, granting him superhuman speed. Dating Isaiah West, mentor to Wally West (Impulse) and Bart Allen (Kid Flash), best friends with Hal Jordan (Green Lantern, designate Alpha)

AQUAMAN (Arthur Curry): The King of Atlantis. Possesses superhuman strength, durability and increased speed when swimming. Can communicate with aquatic life telepathically. Married to Queen Mera, mentor to Garth (Tempest), Kaldur'ahm (Aqualad) and Lorena Marquez (Aquagirl), rivals with Diana Prince (Wonder Woman).

ATOM (Ryan Choi): A physics professor. Can shrink to any size. Mentor to Karen Beecher (Bumblebee).

MARTIAN MANHUNTER (J'onn J'onzz): A green martian. Can shapeshift, possesses superhuman strength and speed, telepathy and "Martian Vision."

SUPERMAN (Clark Kent, Kal-El): A Kryptonian, talented journalist. Possesses superhuman strength, speed and durability, is invulnerable, can fly and has a range of special senses. Best friends with Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), mentor to Conner Kent (Superboy) and Kara Zor-El (Supergirl).

WONDER WOMAN (Diana Prince): Amazonian Princess and ambassador. Possesses superhuman strength, speed and durability, can fly, has enhanced wisdom, and can communicate empathically with any animal on Earth. Is immortal. Best friends with Clark Kent (Superman), Batman (Bruce Wayne) and Dinah Lance (Black Canary), used to date Steve Trevor, mentor to Donna Troy (Troia) and Cassandra Sandsmark (Wonder Girl), rivals with Arthur Curry (Aquaman). 

BUMBLEBEE (Karen Beecher): University student, majoring in physics. Can shrink to any size, can fly and has electrical stingers. Has a crush on Ryan Choi (Atom), best friends with Victor Stone (Cyborg).

BATMAN (Bruce Wayne): CEO of Wayne Enterprises. Skilled detective and martial artist, possesses a wide range of superior gadgets and vehicles. Best friends with Clark Kent (Superman) and Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), mentor to Dick Grayson (Nightwing), Tim Drake (Red Robin) and Damian Wayne (Robin). Used to date Talia al Ghul, Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and Vicki Vale. Business rivals with Lex Luthor.

GREEN LANTERN, DESIGNATE ALPHA (Hal Jordan): Test pilot, space cop. Green Lantern ring allows him to create constructs of pure light, is also a universal translator and enables him to fly. Best friends with Barry Allen (Flash), Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) and John Stewart (Green Lantern, designate Delta). Dating Carol Ferris (Star Sapphire), is having an affair with Katma Tui (Green Lantern, designate Beta). Mentor to Jessica Cruz (Green Lantern, designate Chi).

GREEN ARROW (Oliver Queen): CEO of Queen Industries. Expert archer, possesses a wide range of specialty arrows. Best friends with Hal Jordan (Green Lantern, designate Alpha), John Diggle (Spartan) and Naomi Singh (Dart). Dating Dinah Lance (Black Canary), used to be lovers with Jade Nguyen (Cheshire). Mentor to Roy Harper (Arsenal), Emiko Queen, Speedy (Mia Dearden) and Quiver (Connor Hawke).

BLACK CANARY (Dinah Lance): Thief turned spy turned faux-assassin turned superheroine. Second greatest martial artist on Earth, possesses an ear-splitting, steel-shattering sonic scream known as the Canary Cry. Best friends with Diana Prince (Wonder Woman), Helena Bertinelli-Wayne (Huntress), Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), Zatanna Zatara, and Evelyn Starling (Starling). Mentor to Tigress (Artemis Crock).
