Resident Evil - Jill Valentine by Femmes-Fatales Resident Evil - Jill Valentine by Femmes-Fatales
Although most of my recent fanart has been exclusively of comic book characters, there was a time when it was quite common to find Jill popping up in my gallery quite frequently. In fact, Resident Evil fanart was really common and a lot of them have remained some of my more popular pieces. More recent watchers of mine may not know that I'm actually a big Resident Evil fan and that Jill Valentine is one of my all-time favourite video game girls. She's just so badass! Seeing as I'm trying to complete a special series of video game girl pin-ups I knew I had to throw Jill in. :) Enjoy! Please comment (my Jill pieces are kind of infamous for not getting a lot of comments).

Cool! Are you going to do the other ladies from the Resident Evil line?

It's so odd hearing someone ask me that considering the fact that I've already done that in the past and it's among one of my most popular pieces -- [link]((resident%20evil)%20AND%20(by%3Afemmes-fatales))&qo=0 See? Hahaha.

This is for something entirely different.

But you didn't do Excella Gionne from RES 5 yet. At least I didn't see her in your list.

The search tool should be your best friend ;) [link]((Excella)%20AND%20(by%3Afemmes-fatales))&qo=0 Just go into my gallery and then under the "Search Gallery" button type Resident Evil, hit the button and you will be rewarded with all the art I've done from Resident Evil. ;)

Sorry for the late commenting.. Anyway, here I am.

I have seen this outfit somewhere online and it was featured on a Hot Toys collectable. Out of all the outfits she's worn, I think that this one is probably one I like other than next to the Resident Evil 3 outfit. She really does look like a field agent and I think it's probably one of the most practical outfits, and it's not meant to look sexy at all. Here, you have the necessary protection covering over what needs to be covered and it's meant to weather the elements. So bonus to whoever came up with this particular design here for Capcom.

Regarding the piece here, as far as I can tell-- you managed to stay true to the character. So that's a plus here. The only thing which I think doesn't fit here is probably the pose, and how her right hand is postured. It's girly, even for Jill Valentine. I think that the posture would've been better suited if she was in a more aggressive stance, and maybe holding one or two guns in hand. So that aside, I would think you have done a good job on this piece.

Good work!

I've drawn Jill with guns so many times that I just wanted to draw her being... well... Jill. I wanted her to look casual, fun and flirty. Inviting. I thought that was evident from her expression and her rather nonchalant removal of the cap from her head. I feel I've "been there, done that" with the various "Jill with a gun" poses so this was just something I felt would be a nice change-up with Jill. Aggressive stance doesn't really seem all that "better suited" for Jill given what we know of her character -- she's a trained pianist, she knows chemistry and her own personal style includes tube tops and mini-skirts. Compared to Claire, Jill would be the more traditionally feminine character in spite of her military training. (And two guns in one hand? O.O How is that possible?)

Thanks. :) Since I'd drawn Jill with her hat on before I decided to switch it up a bit with this piece by drawing her without it.
