Teen Titans - Cyborg Redesign

Having asked you all to pick the top five or top ten characters you'd like to see me redesign most for my take on the DC Universe, Cyborg ranked high amongst the entries I received. TristanDavis, Leumasy, K-Jounin and Jyger85 all included Cyborg in their lists, so this piece is for them.

College student Victor Stone was always used to being the best. He regularly placed top of his class and excelled at nearly every sport he tried. It's this competitive spirit that has propelled him forward in life, but tragedy has marred his once optimistic outlook. While interning for his father at S.T.A.R. Labs, Victor was caught in an explosion that left him at death's door. His father performed a life-saving procedure that fused Victor with organic cybernetics. These enhancements have granted him superior strength and speed, sharpened his intellect and have weaponized his body into a top-of-the-line shapeshifting armoury. Though he struggles with his humanity, he has used these new abilities to fight for justice as the hero Cyborg alongside other young heroes.

Of all of the redesigns I've done so far, the Teen Titans' have proven to be the most popular. Nightwing (fav.me/d8jvc7x), Donna Troy (fav.me/d8jzqlh), Raven (fav.me/d8k1nie) and Starfire (fav.me/d8ks2i3) showed that I was on the right track (sadly, they all left Beast Boy [fav.me/d8oe21t] in the dust). Interestingly, I'd left Cyborg out of the equation. I couldn't quite figure out where I wanted him. My original plan was to post both his and Martian Manhunter's redesign (you can find his redesign here - fav.me/d8oe21t), with whoever had the most favourites taking the seventh spot on the Justice League. As time passed, I just threw caution to the wind and opted to put Cy on the Titans.

This actually isn't my first Cyborg redesign in this current line of redesigns. I did one a month or so ago, but scrapped it because I felt it was too clunk. Armour is hard as hell to get right and I'm just not very skilled at making it look good. As such, I went back to the drawing board and attempted something much more streamlined. I was really inspired by Cyborg's most recent look, as well as the Superior Iron Man suit. It's basically a silver and black suit that is organic in nature, which means that he can shapeshift parts of his body to create cybernetic weaponry. The only parts that don't transform are where you see skin. This enables him to do everything from create a sonic canon to being able to fly to teleportation.
