I thought I would put together a compilation of the pin-ups I've done featuring the five most prominent female protagonists in the Resident Evil series. I was originally intending to do a giant piece featuring the main Resident Evil characters from RE4 and RE5 but I still haven't done pin-ups for Barry and Josh so I thought I would post this in the meantime.
Sheva Alomar, Chris' partner from Resident Evil 5 is one feisty lady. Trustworthy and a queen of stating the obvious, Sheva is your back-up for the game and is playable by beating the game. Claire Redfield, star of both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code Veronica, is quite possibly the most popular character of the series. Her chemistry with Leon has sent fangirls' imaginations into a flurry of hormonal palpitations while her brief relationship to Steve Burnside has divided many a fan. She's an emotional character who is the definition of badass... but also the definition of vulnerability. Jill Valentine, my personal favourite, was the female playable character in the first game and since then has starred in her own game, been in crossover video games and was featured largely in the second Resident Evil film. This lock-picking diva is a multi-talented young lady who is certainly one of the greatest fictional action characters. Rebecca Chambers is the cute-as-a-button medic whose role in the first game was to assist Chris out of several jams because (unlike Jill) he knows jack all about chemistry and never learned to play the piano. Luckily, fans got a chance to play as her in Resident Evil Zero and most recently in Mercenaries: The Reunion. Lastly we come to Ada Wong. She's the only character here not to star in a main game but her fierce La Femme Nikita flair has proved popular enough to give her two mini-games in Resident Evil 4. This Asian beauty is definitely one femme fatale you don't want to mess with.
Now I ask you, what other series features this many intelligent, sexy, strong, independent and badass heroines as Resident Evil? Okay, a few. But still. The Resident Evil franchise is one of the few with this many great female characters.
