Continuing on with more of Storm's non-canon alternate universe costumes, we come to Storm's look from the Ultimate universe.
Significantly darker and grittier than its 616 counterpart, the Ultimate Marvel Universe presented Ororo Munroe as a young Moroccan car thief whose criminal extracurriculars landed her in jail. She was freed by Jean Grey who offered her a spot on the X-Men. Unsure of herself and her powers, this Storm was prone to misuse of her abilities and lacked he control her 616 counterpart had. She also spoke in more colloquial terms and became someone with a quick wit who was quick to make snide comments in any number of situations. Over time, Ororo developed a friendship with Hank McCoy (AKA Beast) which led to an eventual relationship. However, their love story was cut short by Hank's apparent death. Falling into depression, Ororo withdrew into herself and altered her looks to reflect her darker outlook on life. Around this time, she began pursuing teammate Wolverine and was forced to deal with her former partner-in-crime -- Lady Deathstrike. Nevertheless, Ororo matured and became a responsible and level-headed individual.
The first costume Ororo wore as Storm in the Ultimate Universe was a two-piece leather ensemble with gold accents. She had flowing long hair that was frequently worn in a ponytail. Minor details of this costume changed depending on the artist. Video gamers should recognize this look from the X-Men Legends video games as it was her primary costume in those games. Look two was established after Ororo's breakdown. After a period of wearing casual clothes as a costume, she shifted to this two-piece. This leather ensemble featured fishnet sleeves and a belt which was slung unevenly on her hips. This look lasted for quite some time before she changed again to the third costume. It featured fishnets more prominently and had opera length gloves and a cut-out shirt. Both the second and third looks were worn with short hair. Very Halle Berry.
