X-Men Omega Team Redesigns

This is the ensemble piece for the redesigns I'd done for an Storm-led X-Men team, tentatively referred to as Omega Squadron, in my Marvel Universe head canon (which exists on Marvel Earth-20113). The roster here was influenced by a poll I hosted asking my watchers to rank the X-Men rosters, with the All-New All-Different roster from the Bronze Age placing first. I wanted to put my own spin on it by making it more gender balanced by including Theresa Cassidy as Banshee and Mariko Yashida as Sunfire.

Omega Squadron is effectively the international X-Men team and they form the ancillary staff at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning. The line-up includes the master thief Storm, the secret agent Banshee, the assassin Wolverine, the Vatican knight Nightcrawler, the marine Thunderbird, and the Takarazuka Revue actress Sunfire.

As mentioned at the onset of this description, this team is led by Storm. She's compassionate and diplomatic, which has earned her the respect of her teammates. Her second-in-command is Banshee, whose experience as a secret agent makes her an undeniable asset. Banshee is a recovering alcoholic and is continually working on herself, which has left little room for a personal life. Despite this, she and Thunderbird clearly have feelings for one another. Wolverine is the loner of the group, but is closest with Nightcrawler and Storm. Colossus and Sunfire are best friends, providing support to one another and acting as a united front against the icy reception they sometimes get from Nightcrawler. Sunfire is also the keeper of Colossus's secret love for Wolverine.

If anyone is curious, the ranking of the favourites for each character showed Storm's profile/design to be the most popular, followed by Nightcrawler, Banshee, Colossus, Wolverine, Sunfire, and, in last place, Thunderbird.
